I didnt say it's an Utopia. Here are some of my thoughts:- Democracy, in India is certainly way ahead of what we call democracy in Sri Lanka. Opportunities for people are certainly much more than is available in Sri Lanka even though they have a Billion people on their land. If Sri Lanka were to be established as another State of India, similar to Tamil Nadu, then we could ask all those Eelam seeking chaps to move house next door, if they please, and that would end this ethnic madness of 25 years or more. India will simply add another ethnic community to their list, The Sinhalese. Our natural resources, people, and literacy can easily be exploited to develop ourselves and our nation in many fields as India has already done. Agriculture and Industry will certainly be given a masive boost by the Central Government unlike what we see today. There is no such place on earth that can be classified as perfect. We just need to choose something better than what we have right now. I rest my case! I said India is the best bet available for us. I didnt say it’s an Utopia.
