Here are the village idiots in Sri Lanka, all together in one place, beaming for the camera, thinking less about salaries and constituencies than perks and trips to Thailand (to study their democracy/Tsunami response/etc/etc of course). As opposed to the 35 Ministers promised at elections we now have 104. That’s 1 minister for around 192,000 people. Those bastions of bureaucratic nightmares India and Pakistan on the other hand has one for every 14 million and one for every 10.5 million respectively. That for the mathematically challenged readers is over twice a magnitude in difference (I think? I’ll admit I’m fairly mathematically challenged as well).
Looks like it’s the same same song we heard from Chandrika, there’s just a moustache this time around (well a visible one at least).

man.. tie coat, National, half National, National with Saatakaya and oh saree too.. this kind’uv reshuffling is like a circus.. Is this what they call National Consensus ?? beats me..
come elections it’ll be nice to see which direction the mud will be slung across !!

lets hope they will just enjoy the perks and patronage ( which is what motivates them) and not do anything.

The tragedy of it is that ‘we the people’ are ultimately responsible for this fiasco. Now if ‘people power’ got it together here (like in some other countries) these bozos will think (if that’s possible)twice before being so blatant about the shit they wallow in.

It’s too bad that most Sri Lankans keep thinking that it’s still funny to keep electing the band of village idiots to parliament over and over again.

I’m shame to call most of them my leaders.

Well vindi, the options are sorta limited eh? One bunch of idioits as opposed to another. They mix, they break off, they sign MOUs, but its still the same set of people. Make a statement. Don’t vote.

Well the idoits (all sets) are there because Sri Lankans who vote don’t seem to realise that politics actually affect people. I can vote this year and I’ll be damned if I waste a vote on any Lankan politcian.
